 Annemieke Mein出生于荷兰的哈莱姆，1951年移居澳大利亚。童
年时代，她就被澳洲丰富的昆虫物种所吸引。她喜欢研究小动物，画素描，并收集各种蝴蝶
和其他的昆虫。上学以后，她的这种才能更是得到了发挥。她探索出很多方法来创造性地表
现这些物种。
1971年，当她来到Gippsland的Sale时，她已是声名雀起，被公认为是世界上最杰出的织品艺术家之
一。
Annemieke Mein利用各种不起眼的材料来创作，如：丝，毛，皮，棉，人造材料等。经过仔细地筛
选它们的颜色，质地，可*性和艺术感染力，这些织物被小心地上色，缝制，于是忠实地再现出她想要
表现的主题，并突出了织品创作独特的质感。
大量的缝制技术被运用到Annemieke的创作中：手工，机织，装饰，染色，镶嵌，缝合，褶裥，毡制
，串珠，编结，粘合等。她把这些技术无限制的相结合，形成了独一无二的技法。
